About

I am Dr. Abbas Salah ad-Din Azari, Ph.D.  To tell you some about me, I am a theologian, educator, historian, faith leader (Imam), and a true believer in natural medicine.  My objective for this blog is to enlighten Muslim and non-Muslim alike.  Much of what we see in the world today through the media is NOT representative of the majority of Muslims, Christians, or Jews.  The media focuses on the sensational and fantastic to get ratings.  In doing so they project the image that all Muslims are radicals which is far from the truth.  The MAJORITY of Muslims are NOT radicals at all.  They love life, God, and freedom just like everybody else.  They are deplored by what they see in the media today and find the acts of radicals detestable.

You may not like or agree with what is posted on this blog but so be it.  Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, likes, and dislikes.  As an Imam I feel compelled to speak truth.  Not man’s truth, not some political truth, but God’s Truth.  The voice of God and the voice of true Islam must be heard in the world today!  In this blog you will see I refer often to the “People of the Book.”  This includes Muslims, Christians, and Jews and even Hindus, Buddhists, and other faiths.  The Islamic scriptures, the Qur’an, has much to say about the People of the Book and it calls for UNITY not division of the People of the Book!

Muslims, Christians, and Jews share a common foundation and we all speak of the same God (Allah) who is both compassionate and merciful.  All three faiths trace their history from the Patriarch Abraham and all three faiths have more in common than anyone thinks.  You will discover that as you read my blog.

Take note that I will NOT tolerate anything on this blog which attacks members of ANY faith!  If you visit here I ask you to be respectful of all others here.  We do not all have to agree but we all MUST be respectful of each other.  So I ask you to be considerate and respectful of each other in your comments here.  Comments of attack or threat will NOT be approved for posting on this blog.

Islam has a long, long history of compassion and tolerance as you will discover on this blog.  True Islam also has a long tradition of respect for others and their beliefs or opinions.  I ask that all who come to this blog honor these Islamic traditions and moral values.  If you feel compelled to do otherwise then leave and don’t come back here!

Mohammad Abbas Salah ad-Din Azari, Ph.D.
